Havering Museum was packed to the roof, as hundreds of visitors attended the launch of the Titanic Honour and Glory Exhibition in Romford, England. Featuring an extensive selection of artefacts and movie props, complimented by stunning text and graphic panels, all of which bring the story to life.
The exhibition was launched in the presence of direct descendants of Titanic's passengers, Jeremiah Burke and Kate Buss. Inspirational, tragic and heroic local stories are highlighted, including the loss of Frank and George Painter who were firemen that stayed to carry on shoveling coal into the furnaces so that the ship could still have electricity. The exhibition launch was also featured in the local Romford newspaper -
Romford Recorder,
where you can view the coverage of the exhibition.
