As we adjust to a new normal of which the care industry is being seriously affected by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, resident wellbeing is more important than ever.  Interaction and connection is vital, without any friends, family, external entertainment, or regular trips out for residents, residents might be feeling disconnected from their loved ones and the outside world.  

We are delighted to have developed a series of virtual experiences aptly called – Virtual artefact meet and greet tea party, which is especially tailored to engage residents during these challenging and unprecedented times. Our virtual events are great for the elderly, dementia patients, adults with physical and learning disabilities. They trigger conversation and memories, while being calming, sensory and therapeutic. All of which comforts and makes residents at ease in their surroundings as they are able to connect and enjoy the whole experience while enjoying their favourite cup of tea and indulge in some tasty afternoon treats. 

During a one hour experience, residents (and staff!) are able to meet between six or seven artefacts, but it does vary depending on the group. Artefacts are likely to include a lifeboat name plate and wood recovered from the Titanic, German helmet, gas mask and grenade from the First World War, Tommy helmet, ration pack from the Second World War and some personal items of President John F. Kennedy.

Come join us as we board the luxurious Ocean Liner, the R.M.S. ‘Titanic.’ Your Steward or Stewardess will serve you afternoon tea in the 1st Class Dining Room as we reveal some exciting artefacts and hear the incredible stories attached to them. Bringing history to life, your presenter is dressed in full period White Star Line engineers uniform complete with a unique period backdrop, creating an ambient and thought provoking experience. Join us as in the trenches during the Great War with our fellow tommies having a brew, as we reveal some incredible artefacts from the First World War, and hear the unbelievable stories attached to them. Bringing history to life your presenter is dressed in full period soldiers uniform complete with a unique period backdrop, creating an ambient and thought provoking experience. Feeling creative? there is also a craft activity which accompanies the tea party for residents to show off their creative talents. 

Join us as we celebrate VE Day with our neighbours and friends, as we reveal some incredible artefacts from the Second World War, and hear the unbelievable stories attached to them. Bringing history to life your presenter is dressed in full period soldiers uniform complete with a unique period backdrop, creating an ambient and thought provoking experience. Feeling creative? there is also a craft activity which accompanies the tea party for residents to show off their creative talents. 

Join us as we celebrate the innauguration day of President John F. Kennedy, as we reveal some incredible artefacts from the period, and hear the unbelievable stories attached to them. Bringing history to life your presenter is dressed as a US Secret Service Agent complete with a unique period backdrop, creating an ambient and thought provoking experience.
